Meet your 2026 Executive

President - Lisa Prentiss

Softball has been part of my life since I was five years old. One of my earliest memories is playing third base around age eight and pulling off a triple play—a moment that still makes me smile. I’ve lost track of how many years I’ve been in this league, but my love for the game and this community runs deep. I’m so grateful to have found such an incredible group of women who share the same passion.

As League President, it’s an honour to lead and support the dedicated volunteers who keep this league thriving. We carry forward the legacy of those who came before us, and it’s a privilege to help preserve that tradition.

This league is more than just softball—it’s a family. I’m proud to be part of it, and I thank every player, volunteer, and supporter who makes it all possible.

Vice-President - Tiny Tremblay

I’ve been a proud member of the league since 2018, but my love for softball goes back to when I first picked up a bat at the age of 8. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of playing on various teams, gaining a wealth of experience along the way. My passion for the sport runs deep, and I’m fully committed to helping our league grow and thrive.

As Vice President, I bring a combination of enthusiasm, dedication, and a strong desire to contribute to the league’s continued success. My goal is to ensure that every player has the best possible experience, both on and off the field. I’m excited to serve with purpose and passion, working alongside others to make our league even better.

Treasurer - Liz Warren

I’ve been part of the league since 2008, joining shortly after I moved to Kanata from Wakefield.

I’m a proud mom to two amazing sons, Adrian (33) and Dylan (31), and I’m never short on company with my four furry companions. My cats—Stella and Peanut—are 17 years old, and the newest addition to our family is Willow, a playful kitten. My dog, Lucie, is 6 years old and a true league favorite—if you’ve been around, you’ve probably met her!

In my free time, I enjoy playing golf and pickleball, taking Lucie on walks, and staying active at CTC, where I work as an usher. Though I’m officially retired, I’m definitely more active now than I was when I was working full-time!

Statistician - Jaime Carruthers

My name is Jaime Carruthers, and I’ve been part of the league for over 14 years since returning to Ottawa. I’ve been playing fastpitch since the late '80s and have had the privilege of playing many positions throughout my years on the field.

In the Glen Cairn league, I primarily catch—and I absolutely love it. Catching allows me to work with the variety of pitchers in our league, and there's something truly special about being in that key position. Softball has always been a great escape for me, offering a chance to clear my mind while connecting with a diverse group of people. As I often say, “I just want to play ball!” It’s the game that keeps me coming back.

Outside of softball, I’m a fan of mystery novels, and I enjoy expressing my creativity by painting cartoon characters on Christmas ornaments. Most recently, I’ve started painting windows at my workplace, which has been a fun and rewarding project. Above all, I love sharing my passion for softball and passing on my knowledge of the game to others.

Secretary - Aline Lafrance

I have been in the league since 2010. I have 2 children, Jacob (31 yo) and Alexa (26 yo) and an adorable granddaughter, Ariana. I have 2 Standard Poodles, Holly and Rex, and a cat named Leia (and she is a princess).

After a 35-year career in IT, I am now enjoying my retirement. My hobbies are fostering Standard Poodle rescues, golf, softball, working at CTC as an usher, travelling, crafting and spending as much time at my cottage as I can.

There are many reasons why I love being a member of the GCLSL, but my favourite is that it's a great way for women of all ages and skills to come together and support each other, on and off the field.
